| The roots of the firm go back to 1951 when the former Senior Partner, who is now a Consultant, started the business under the style of Dennis H. B. Neal. In 1973 he was joined in Partnership by Edward Fletcher FRICS, a Chartered Surveyor whose early years in practice had been spent in the West Country with a National firm. |
| Some seven years later the Partnership was expanded and at that stage the firm's name changed to Neal Sons & Fletcher reflecting the addition to the Partnership of the founder's two sons David Neal FNAEA and James Neal FNAEA who have both been with the firm for over twenty five years. |
| Despite the upheaval in the property market and the intervention of large corporate bodies Neal Sons & Fletcher has remained staunchly independent answering to their clients rather than to a head office, thus providing an individual and personal service where the Partners are actively involved.
